Ae memBerS ON ThE MOvE Region III aE member Troy Stovall has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer for Howard University. In his new position, reporting directly to Howard’s president, he is responsible for leading university-wide institutional effectiveness efforts for the prestigious, historically black school in Washington, D.c. Stovall first joined NSBE-aE in the early 1990s and served as national parliamentarian and in other leadership positions. He has a B.S. in electrical engineering, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University, an M.S. in computer science from Stanford University and an M.B.a. from Harvard. Before taking his current job at Howard, he was senior vice president for Finance and operations at historically black Jackson State University. Adeniran (“Kilomodemo”) ibitoye of NSBE’s Lagos, Nigeria alumni Extension has been elected chairman of the osun State chapter of The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers for 2009–11. This past September, he was also appointed as the diocesan engineer of the church of Nigeria of osun North anglican Diocese in osun State. These two high positions were major highlights on a long list of accomplishments last year for Ibitoye, who is a graduate of ondo State University (now the University of ado Ekiti) and a member of a Nigerian royal family. a paper he presented to students at the Government Technical college last august speaks to his belief in NSBE’s mission. It was titled, “Technical Education: Bedrock for Socio-Economic Emancipation of the Nation.” Gov. Jeremiah W. Nixon of Missouri has appointed NSBE member Abiodun A. (“Abe”) Adewale to the Missouri Board for architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Landscape architects. The board is charged with licensing the professionals under its purview, protecting the public in its dealings with these professionals and enforcing standards for the professions. adewale and his wife, Nicole, head aBNa Engineering, Inc., a company they founded in 1994, which has its headquarters in St. Louis. Both are members of NSBE’s St. Louis Gateway alumni chapter. abe and Nicole, both civil engineers, received their bachelor’s degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology. NSBE member Jay c. Hartman, manager of customer Relations of Entergy arkansas, Inc., has been elected as chair of the Board of commissioners of central arkansas Water (caW) for 2009–10. Hartman is a member and a past president of NSBE’s arkansas alumni chapter. He is serving a seven-year term on the board that governs caW, a regional water utility that serves approximately 400,000 persons in 16 cities and other communities in arkansas. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from historically black Prairie View a&M University, in Texas, and an M.B.a. from the University of arkansas at Little Rock.
