n the last five years, NSBE has nearly tripled in size, from 13,216 members in 2005 to 35,700-plus members in 2010! Because of our tremendous growth, NSBE’s leadership decided it was time to find a scalable solution to managing membership information. NSBE Online, otherwise known as NOL, has been an important part of NSBE’s transition away from paper and antiquated data management. As we look to the future of NSBE, we have taken another huge leap — toward IMPAK. IMPAK is NSBE’s Integrated Membership Package. Produced by Integrated Software Solutions, Inc. (ISSI), IMPAK is just the solution that NSBE needs to manage the growth we have seen so far and expect to continue to see in the future. IMPAK truly takes NSBE to the next level through improved data management and accuracy, heightened security features that protect member data, and more comprehensive reporting capabilities. These things all allow NSBE to better serve our members, sponsors, partners and friends. The following are just a few NEW features of IMPAK: • Auto-Renewal > never forget to renew your membership again! - Click the auto-renew box on the payment page.

Change your own chapter online, ANYTIME! • Alumni Extension members > Sign up for Special Interest Groups (SIGs) easily and anytime! • Streamlined e-mail communications PLUS opt-out options! That means getting fewer emails while still getting the content that YOU want! • Sponsors > See your organization’s sponsorship online, ANYTIME! - Maximize utilization of your benefits! IMPAK is already live. You can find IMPAK by simply logging onto the NSBE website (www.nsbe. org) and clicking on the menu options. Many of you have already experienced IMPAK through member renewals, event registrations and more. Because the system is new, things will be different. We encourage you to look around and use the FAQs and instructions available on the website. So go ahead and renew your membership, and update your profile today! ■
