erving as the chair of NSBE's National
Executive Board has been an amazing
experience, mainly because of all of
the wonderful interactions I had with
the NSBE family. Here are a few of the many
powerful words you shared with me last year:

"Words can't express the gratefulness I
have for God for putting it on you all's hearts
to bless me with the opportunity to continue
my post-secondary education! From the love
I received from R5FRC all the way to the
support from everyone working with NSBE to
help me further my career, I sincerely want to
thank you all. So when I say thank you, I don't
think y'all understand how much I appreciate your kindness. This will pave the way for
me to be able to give my mother the life she
should've had 27 years ago, and I can't thank

bring. We are all unique, important contributors to
the wider NSBE family.
My motto to communicate what NSBE means to
me is "FOCUS: Family, Opportunity, Commitment,
Unity and Servant-Leadership." We connect our
individual thoughts, values and commitments to
action in a unified family of leaders committed to
serving our community. Together we can all achieve
more. As we go forward on our different paths, it's
important to always remember that we each have
something special to add.

I know that my experience in NSBE - which
means so much to me - has been made possible by
the actions and sacrifices of those who came before
