therefore, are less likely to express
interest in a STEM career."

Why WISE?
The goal of WISE is to holistically address
the trends that we see in the data snapshot
presented in this article. We achieve this
goal by providing support for current
women in STEM, with the goal of college
retention and workplace promotion, and
by generating excitement about STEM to
attract girls to STEM fields. WISE presents
workshops, roundtables and webinars
covering a wide variety of topics, such
as professional success, pathways to
leadership, work-life management, health
and fitness, and financial savviness.
