LAS VEGAS-BASED LANDSCAPE photographer Al Baker was working as a bellman on the
Strip for two years to support his art, but found himself unemployed when COVID-19 hit.
Stuck inside during social distancing and inspired by pro photographer Erin Sullivan's (@
erinoutdoors) #OurGreatIndoors effort, he drew on experiences from his youth-when
he built baseball stadiums out of cardboard boxes and scenes for action figures-to create
outdoor adventures at home using miniatures. "It was the perfect way to kill the quarantine boredom," he says. "I wanted to be completely original and super-detailed in the
scenes, and I want you to really have to look close to notice it's not a real scene." See more
