Magnolia Blossom Festival For 26 years now, some 40,000 folks have gathered in Magnolia, about 140 miles southwest of Little Rock, to celebrate one of the plant world's oldest specimens. But the Magnolia Blossom Festival and World Championship Steak Cook-Off is more than an opportunity to sniff an intoxicating flower. The jam-packed, two-day event also features live music from Journey cover band DBS and country crooner Frank Foster, plus a bass-fishing tournament, a 5K, and a 1-mile fun run. There will also be shows galore: puppetry for kids, a playful dog show for animal lovers, antique cars and motorcycles on display, and the beloved art show, which shines a spotlight on the works of dozens of regional artists.
