Window or Aisle? engage Chatting with a Frequent Flyer Even with an exhausting travel schedule, Greg Osenga doesn't miss a beat in his triathlon training. How often do you travel for work? Almost every week. I've been flying US Airways since 1990 and have flown more than one million miles. As managing director of a Charlotte-based advertising agency, I mostly travel to Cleveland, Dallas, New York, and Pittsburgh. Have a favorite airport? Greg's Travel Tips: WHENEVER YOU'RE EXPERIENCING A TRAVEL PROBLEM, DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON FLIGHT ATTENDANTS OR GATE AGENTS. THEY DIDN'T CREATE THE PROBLEM, AND THEY'RE ALWAYS WORKING TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS THE BEST THEY CAN. Probably Pittsburgh International. I like the openness of the airport and the variety of shopping and restaurants. Do you have any hobbies? I'm 54 and I've been competing in triathlons for about five years. I started off running. One year, I couldn't run due to an injury. But I could still swim and bike, so I joined a triathlon club and learned how to train for the event. I just qualified to represent the U.S. National Triathlon team in the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Long Course World Championships in Weihai, China, later this year. The ITU Long Course Triathlon is a 2.5-mile swim, a 75-mile bike ride, and a 19-mile run. How do you find time to train on the road? There's always time to fit in training and DIVIDEND MILES Insider SAY HELLO TO ONEWORLD. ✈ Travel conveniently to nearly 1,000 destinations in more than 150 countries on the oneworld network, made up of some of the world's best airlines. If you enjoy running early in the morning, you're often back at the hotel before most people are awake. There's something great about running when you travel. You really get to see the city. For example, in Philadelphia, you can run along the river and see the historic district. Now, swimming and biking on the road can be a challenge! Any favorite places you've visited? A lot of the locations where I've participated in triathlons. I've competed in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, which is a 1.5-mile swim from Alcatraz to the mainland, an 18-mile bike ride through Golden Gate Park, and then an 8-mile run. I also participated in the New York City Triathlon, which involved a swim across the Hudson River. What destination is at the top of your bucket list? Kona, Hawaii, to compete in the IRONMAN World Championship. If you could sit next to any person on a plane, who would it be? My mom. She passed away when I was young. Window or aisle? The aisle seat. I like having some control on a flight! Seriously, I hate interrupting people on a flight when I get up from my seat. Are you a US Airways frequent flyer with an interesting story to tell?
