Xul Solar and Jorge Luis Borges: The Art of Friendship (through December 31, 2013) displays paintings, publications, and letters exchanged by these two important Argentinean artists. Ready for lunch? Nothing says “downtown” like a vibrant food truck scene, and Phoenix delivers. A few minutes south of the museum, the Phoenix Public Market ( market) hosts the weekly Food Truck Friday around noon. The offerings vary each week but could include Filipino-style pork and chicken from Hey Joe!, or jambalaya bowls and catfish sandwiches at Jamburritos. And don’t leave without stopping by the Torched Goodness truck, which serves more than 30 rotating flavors of crème brûlée. Lavender, peanut butter and jelly, sea-salt caramel . . . how will you ever choose?
