Math is obviously an essential skill for nurses when calculating medication
dosages, but it can be one of the trickiest to teach effectively. Hear about
how two PA College faculty members are researching ways to strengthen
connections between math and clinical care.

banded together to create a brief but powerful five-minute check-in program,
known as "The Chicken." See how this effective tool is already making a
difference for new nursing students!

Sure, we have an amazing simulation space at the new campus, but clinicals
remain the cornerstone of a hands-on education at PA College. However,
things have changed since the days of weeks and weeks in the same
specialty. Read on to learn about what clinicals look like for students today.

When Mary Coldren Kurian, our oldest alumnus (as far as we know!) at
age 103, met current student Cassie Kohr, a strong bond formed over the
nursing student experience these two women shared, decades apart.
