was on pause. I knew I couldn't dance forever; and due to
numerous injuries over the years, I developed an interest
in the medical field. I learned that I have other passions
like helping people. Medicine, and the science behind it,
is so special to me. Through my injuries, I understand the
importance of an X-ray as a diagnostic tool. I knew I could
use this to make a difference in people's lives, " she explains.
PA College's Radiography program has both the classroom
and real-world experience that she found appealing.
Carleigh says her ballet experience, knowledge of anatomy
as well as a passion for helping others definitely gives her a
leg up in her education.
" I'm still dancing, but it's more of a hobby now. Before
working with the Bolshoi in Russia, I had trained with
Viktor Yeliohin {Viktor Yeliohin International Dance
Academy} in Lancaster, and I still train with him when I
have the opportunity, " Carleigh says.
