Melissa J. Snyder, DEd, FNP, CNE
Assistant Dean of Nursing
Brian P. Colfer, PhD, MBA
Master of Healthcare
Administration Program Director
Dr. Colfer joined the PA College
faculty in May 2022 after serving
as an associate professor of
healthcare administration at Seton
Hall University for three years. He
received his PhD in Health Policy
from the University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia and his MBA in
Pharmaceutical Business, also
from the University of the Sciences.
He earned his BS in Biology from
Monmouth University and has
worked in a variety of education
and research settings throughout
his career.
Marie E. Wood, EdD
Dean of Health Sciences,
Sciences and Humanities.
Dr. Wood received her BS in
Biology/Medical Technology
from Millersville University, her
MS from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania and her EdD from
Immaculata University. Having
served previously as the program
director and chair for the Medical
Laboratory Science Program at
PA College, Dr. Wood returned
to PA College in June 2022.
Previously, she worked at Penn
State University and the University
of Delaware.
Dr. Snyder received her BSN from
Lycoming College, her Family Nurse
Practitioner MSN from Widener
University and her DEd from
Penn State University. She also
completed post-master's work in
nursing education at the University
of Pennsylvania. Most recently, she
served as Associate Dean and Chief
Nursing Administrator at Eastern
University. Before joining PA College
in June 2022, Dr. Snyder worked for
Penn State University, Bloomsburg
University and Thomas Jefferson
University.
