logical choice for either importing our Capacity Rounds (CRs)
or for an export out to our system where we make the calculations. This has been a bear on multiple fronts, much of it technology "clumsiness". There will be an API for that.
There are dozens more business needs and applications which
will be enabled by being able to easily and automatically transfer
standardized, structured data (with prior and continued course
client approval; it's their data after all although some of our PoS
brethren have to be continually reminded of that fact). Need
some non-Pellucid/Edgehill ones? How about being able to
exchange PoS data on rounds, reservation dates, pricing and
promotions to a yield management system like Priswing? How
about linking reservations by golfers to a social media/mobile
app like Gallus Golf or GroupLooper? I think you get the point.
In conversations we've had with several of the cloud-native
PoS/Tee Sheet providers, they're already fully engaged in the
API future world and its benefits for them and their clients. For
them, no more trying to create a special report for each one of
their 150 clients and which, even within each client, needs to
be "tweaked" every 2-3 months. In the API world, the service
providers create several standard exports, verify the permission
by the client course to expose the API to a 3rd party service provider and they're done. Another anticipated evolution would be
to build data exports that would feed several of the more popular Business Intelligence (BI) platforms (like Crystal Reports or
Tableau as examples). From there, the facility owner/operator
