which is, surprisingly, close to the consumer-survey
projection of 4.4M we saw earlier
* The average facility in the CBSA does ~26K rounds
per 18-hole equivalent with Public-Value having the
highest velocity among types at ~30K
* The Utilization Rate (reported rounds/capacity
rounds; see next section for explanation) is 44% on
average which trails the national average by 8 pts. In
other words, the CBSA is less efficient in generating
weather-neutral throughput than the national average;
Public Value has highest Utilization but still trails its
national comparison by 9 pts
Finally let's look at a Pellucid exclusive, current and historical
Capacity Rounds. For Pellucid newcomers, the simple explanation
is that we've developed and refined a rules-based methodology
applied to every weather station tied to a facility for every
hour from yesterday to 10 years ago for what constitutes a Golf
Playable Hour (GPH). To that we apply a static throughput
number to arrive at Capacity Rounds. Capacity Rounds are the
number of rounds a facility could have generated if they had a
foursome on the tee for every tee time during every GPH over
the year.
