Gilder was relatively neutral on the
ultimate adoption of cryptocurrency
as a mainstream method of payment. Warren Buffett has called
cryptos worthless and banks are concerned that Blockchain technology
will drastically change their role as transaction intermediaries
(think fees). The impact of cryptos on soverieign currencies
and un-regulated (under the tax radar) Blockchain transactions
are also a big concern. In spite of these roadblocks, Gilder suggests
that Blockchain offers so many advantages over current
technology that it will revolutionize how business is conducted
- locally and globally.

but they will offer operational efficiencies
when they do become more mainstream.
And if there is one thing we
learned over the past two years, most of
you figured out new efficiencies in order
to deal with staff shortages, supply
issues and streamlined reservation and
payment options.
In writing about the Mount Washington Hotel in New
Hampshire, Trish Regan of American Consequences outlined
the ways the legendary resort was forced to adapt and the related
discovery that they became more efficient.
" Increased productivity, combined with better pricing power
" smart contract " conditions; payments reconciliation and accounting
will be more accurate, more secure and no show disputes
will be easier to successfully settle. With increased course
utilization, no shows are a bigger concern. More importantly,
the customer activity for every golfer will be readily available to
drive more personalized marketing communication. Blockchain
will offer easier integration of accounting functions and a host of
other operational efficiencies.
Blockchain and cryptocurrency developments are not going

(consider that increase in my room rate) and higher wages for
its employees (more on that in a moment) is something that a
growing number of businesses across the country are just beginning
to understand...Given this limited labor supply, you'd think
that Mount Washington would be struggling... Miraculously, the
hotel operated quite smoothly while we were there. Our dinner
reservations were on time, lift lines were minimal on the slopes,
and check-in and check-out were a breeze. Plus, the staff were
extremely pleasant and seemed genuinely happy to be there. "
