What this tells me is that the average Public-Premium facility
in the draw area is generating ~35K annual rounds and that's just
about spot-on the national average. Given that the season here
in Chicago isn't as long as the national average, the bottom set of
numbers, after we factor out season length and weather variance
for the '21 calendar year, shows that their peer group in this trade
area is performing at 63% Utilization, 4 points higher than the
national average. Since you know what your rounds number is,
you can compare it back against the 35K (better/worse?) and, if
you want to do a small amount of math, you can figure out what
your Utilization is (Capacity Rounds = 35K/.63 or 55.6K so if
you're doing 40K your Utilization is 40K/55.6K or 72%, easypeasy).
If your annual number is <35K, isn't that helpful to know
that your peer group is being more effective and efficient in generating
rounds? (I know it's inconvenient when it works out that
way but at least you can do something about it if you know it...)
So there you go. I generated the above map and reports in
just under 10 minutes on our GLMA 2.0. As you enter into
your '23 planning season, we kind of think this should be an essential
component of trying to figure out if you're playing into a
tailwind or headwind and the relative velocity of either situation.

should be part of your annual accountability to your owners and
demonstrate to them that you review and can quantify the market
