facilities. Here are the major takeaways:
* We are attracting new golfers that
are younger

instruction at higher rates
Another source of information is coming
from our participants in the Golf Market
Research Center (GMRC). The data
shows our GMRC participants have had
exponential revenue growth and Weather
Adjusted Course Utilization far above the 50% - 53% national
level we experienced from 2010 - 2019. They have been able to
raise rates (see fever chart at right).
But when we take these positive points and ask what the
major issues are for 2023; the concerns we get relate to both
inflationary pressures and what rising rates will do to future participation.
So far, golfers have been willing to pay higher prices
and seem to understand that golf courses are not exempt from
the same higher costs they face in their everyday lives. How long
will that last and how can we tell when price resistance affects
participation?
If we circle back to our findings on new golfers, we find some
