Based on the eMS for ePSs, the concept of the IeMS-
the brain of the eI-is proposed and developed to manage
the multienergy flow in the eI. there are still many challenges remaining on the road to developing the IeMS. the
key issues are how to fully coordinate energy flows in
multiple time scales, considering their completely different physical characteristics. Much research is still necessary and essential in the years to come.
