An appropriate governance model is fundamental
for the realization and operation of any grid architecture
identified by this project.
As a starting point, the best practices from existing transnational infrastructure governance models will be investigated
to evaluate their applicability to the e-Highway2050. A list of
11 existing governance models has therefore been analyzed,
containing both EU (e.g., Germany, the Nordic countries) and
non-EU (e.g., Brazil, the United States) electricity experiences
along with nonelectricity models (e.g., gas and aviation).
