three different labs and discusses collaborative work within the smart grid
international research Facility network
to design harmonized test protocols to

Behind," examines some of the issues
with integrating high penetrations of
Ders and how the control and communication features of smart inverters
might be able to provide utilities with
additional flexibility and capabilities to
deploy mitigation solutions to properly
utilize distribution assets and accommodate increased levels of renewable
energy resources. this article also examines the evaluation of smart inverter features and determines their response to
system events such as voltage variations,
faults, and/or islanding including the use
of power hardware-in-the-loop to add
real-time simulation testing that can
accurately characterize dynamic behavior of PV inverters and their interactions

how intelligent PV storage management systems could increase the value
of PVs to their owners.
the fifth article, "in Divergence there
is strength," examines some high-penetration distribution circuits in southern
California, which is seeing a high number of utility-scale PV deployments at
