for Resiliency
A standardized definition of resiliency
is needed to develop the requirements
and procedures for distribution system
planning and operation. In the transmission area, the N-1 (or N-2) security
criterion is widely adopted by industry
worldwide. A power system is said to be
secure if the system is able to maintain
normal operating conditions following a
single contingency such as a line or generator outage. A similar concept can be

need to be taken to restore
critical loads and services.
