dado que los centros de gravedad
de las fases no se alteran. Ambos
enfoques alteran el campo eléctrico de la superficie, que podría
expresarse mediante un factor de
uso k u, , que es la relación entre el
campo eléctrico de la superficie y
el máximo teórico de cada subconductor (véase el gráfico 2). Un uso
ideal (k u = 1) implica un aumento
lineal de la potencia en relación
con el número de subconductores.
En la práctica, una distribución
uniforme del campo eléctrico no
es viable porque cada subconductor
tendría que ser equidistante respecto
de otras fases, del conductor a tierra
y de las estructuras.
Considerando que se asume
un arreglo horizontal de las fases,
en el gráfico 2 se resume la SIL
teórica y alcanzable como función
del número de conductores por
grupo. El gráfico, basado en una
