En el cuarto artículo, " Un enfoque
abierto y basado en datos de varios
dominios para Análisis de eventos extremos
en sistemas eléctricos " , a cargo
de Le Xie, se analiza la intensidad y
la dinámica de los impactos de la COVID-19
en el sector eléctrico mediante
conjuntos de datos de acceso abierto de
varios dominios. Agregan datos de carga
y generación de electricidad de siete
mercados eléctricos estadounidenses e
integran datos climáticos, de imágenes
por satélite, de salud pública y de localización
de dispositivos móviles en el
territorio de estos mercados.
En 2015, 196 partes establecieron
el Acuerdo Climático de París para lograr
una reducción significativa de las
emisiones mundiales de gases de efecto
invernadero. No obstante, la pandemia
sin precedentes plantea una serie de

flexibles más maduros y baratos:
la
energía hidroeléctrica. Su flexibilidad,
tanto en el lado del embalse como en
el de la generación, podría permitir
una mayor proporción de fuentes renovables
intermitentes en las regiones

en donde la energía hidroeléctrica es
fácilmente accesible. El artículo utiliza
el sistema noruego como ejemplo y
presenta el concepto de central de generación
hidroeléctrica superflexible
como un elemento vital para acelerar
la transición de la energía. Para hacer
posible esa superflexibilidad, el hidrogenador
clásico se debería revitalizar
