2016 Hunter-Trapper Education Instructor of the Year J IM TOWARNICKI has been a Hunter-Trapper Education instructor since 2004, and became a Bowhunter Education instructor in 2015. In 2016, Jim devoted about 97 hours of instruction and preparation time to the HTE program. He served as the lead instructor for four classes, and as an assisting instructor in five others in Chester County. Jim has proposed changes to the schedule to increase class participation. He is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructor, and the positive feedback from students in his classes proves those traits are recognized and appreciated. Jim is especially talented in using audio and visual aids that make his classes more interesting and effective. He also has improved his teaching method and instruction presentation by analyzing test-answer data to identify topics that give students difficulty. Jim is always flexible with class schedules and adjusting to different course sections he teaches to keep himself fresh and to accommodate fellow instructors. For all these reasons and more, Jim Towarnicki has been chosen as the Instructor of the Year for the Southeast Region.
