2017 Game Warden Deputy of the Year J OSEPH FALLON attended a deputy recruitment open house in 2015 because he was enthusiastic about doing his part to protect wildlife. Joe has since far exceeded all expectations during his three years as a deputy in my northern Luzerne County district. Joe logged 377 hours of law enforcement patrol, handling nuisance and injured animal incidents, picking up road-killed deer and bears, and attending training programs in 2017. He also performed 22 hours of Information & Education activities, including instructing at Hunter-Trapper Education classes and providing programs about wildlife and the role hunting plays to school groups and community organizations. Joe's work ethic is exceptional and his schedule allows him to accompany and assist me on a regular basis, especially during the busy hunting seasons. He is always eager to work and has proven that he can handle all assigned tasks and take the lead on many important assignments. Joe is a great asset to the Game Commission and to the sportsmen and sportswomen of our Commonwealth. It is with great pride that I nominate him for this prestigious Deputy Game Warden of the Year award.
