We're committed to supporting patients
and their families from care to cure.
A s I refl ect on my fi rst fi ve years as president
and CEO of the PKD Foundation, I'm particularly
proud of the progress we've made in the area
of research development.
At the end of the day, our goal as a foundation
is to end PKD, and that means funding researchers
who are focused on learning more about the
genetic underpinnings of the disease, and fi nding
new and better therapeutic treatments and
ultimately a cure for polycystic kidney disease.
Thanks to our Future Focus Campaign, we've raised
more than $70 million for PKD research, which
represents a 300% increase since 2016. You can
read more about the campaign and its accomplishments
on page 20.
But it's also clear that ending PKD is a marathon,
not a sprint. In addition to propelling research,
we're committed to helping patients and families
learn more about PKD and manage day-to-day living
