PhD OPPORTUNITIES AT USD
Looking to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Sciences? Faculty in the
Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences seek motivated students to
join the PhD program for the Fall of 2017. Dr. Scot Ouellette
(https://sites.google.com/a/usd.edu/ouellette-lab/) studies basic microbiological
properties of Chlamydia including bacterial cell division and stress
response mechanisms. Chlamydia is a fascinating bacterial pathogen
that requires host cells to propagate. Other opportunities exist in different
disciplines including neuroscience, cardiology, and cancer. Details about
the BBS Graduate program and application process can be found at:
http://www.usd.edu/medicine/basic-biomedical-sciences/applying.
For more information, please contact (Biomed@usd.edu). Students joining
the program receive a competitive stipend (including funds to cover health
insurance) and have access to modern research facilities and equipment.
