Isiah Johnson '05, Remembered by HM Friends Horace Mann School classmates of Isiah Johnson '05 gathered reflections about their friend following news of his death in March 2016. Some are excerpted here. From: Libby Copeland-Halperin: I was so sorry to hear about the tragic and untimely passing of my old friend Isiah ... I have such fond memories of playing sports (he was such a talented athlete, even from a young age. I remember his dominating the "Pacer" challenge in gym class every year!) and video games with Isiah, or having arm-wrestling matches when we were little. One memory that always makes me smile is of a playdate at my house playing basketball in my room and singing "Baby Beluga" ... laughing hysterically together the whole time. Isiah had such a wonderful positive energy and embraced everyone around him. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. Helen Lee: Isiah was quick with his wit, runs, and to make friends. I was lucky to live near him and remember all of our long commutes to school and home. Those rides could be thoughtful moments talking about school, family, and life, or pranks of the highest Horace Mann Magazine Summer 2016 65 http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/nytimes/obituary.aspx?n=dominic-kulik&pid=179296260#sthash.44q0o8cd.dpuf http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/nytimes/obituary.aspx?n=dominic-kulik&pid=179296260#sthash.44q0o8cd.dpuf
