Completed in 2019, the Pavilion On Park Square
(POPS) is unlike any venue in the area. It is rare
to take a walk through the park without hearing
lifetime residents of Forest City saying things
like "I would have never imagined that we would
have something like this here."
POPS is bordered by the Rutherford County
Farmers Market and the Park Square Trail Head

of the brand-new 13.58-mile Thermal Belt Rail
Trail. Directly adjacent to Main Street, POPS
features a 2,000-seat amphitheater with tiered
grass seating, a covered stage, a colonnade with
swings, two splash pads, a concession stand and
a .25-mile sidewalk around the perimeter. You
can look forward to events for all ages at POPS,
including concerts with national acts, an Alive
After Five series, free movie nights, festivals,

yoga classes and more. In addition to events,
POPS offers many appealing aspects on a daily
basis: an urban park a walkable distance from
Main Street, the lure of splash pads on a hot
summer day, lunch away from the office on the
relaxing shaded swings and the satisfaction of
knowing you got your daily dose of exercise after
completing a few laps around the outside
of the park.
