Aerospace Engineering and Manufacturing (AEM) magazine began publishing in an all-digital format in 2009. The new format meant more frequent publication of the magazine, along with enhanced search capabilities of both current and past articles. Actions were taken to produce Automotive Engineering International (AEI) and SAE Off-Highway Engineering (SOHE) magazines in hybrid formats in 2010. The new hybrid formats include more digital publications, along with the traditional print publications. SAE International’s magazines remained a prime source of information for mobility engineering professionals in 2009: • 91 percent of AEI readers said they use the magazine as their primary source of information on a constant basis, saying they read it regularly three times more often than any other automotive publication. • 94 percent of readers said they were impressed with the new digital format of AEM, and 94 percent also said that they increased numbers of issues will allow them to keep a better pulse on aerospace technology developments. • 80 percent of off-highway professionals turn to SOHE twice each month for industry coverage valuable to their day-to-day jobs. 2009 Annual Report 15http://www.sae.org/mags/aem/ http://www.sae.org/mags/aei/ http://www.sae.org/mags/sohe/
