In an effort to think globally and act locally, steps were taken in 2009 to establish “in region” media operations (print and online) to complement SAE International’s North American-centric brands. A formal reciprocal representation agreement was established with Korea SAE, and groundwork was laid to create a joint publishing venture with Findlay Media for a pan-European automotive publication and web presence. 16 2009 Annual Report Also, in an effort to increase the percentage of revenue for the sale and licensing of standards and book publishing product lines, SAE International took steps to increase its stable of country specific resellers. In 2009, InfoDoc (Italy) was signed for the Digital Library product line; Eurospan (UK) was signed for the sale of book publishing assets across Europe/Middle East; and Interstandard (Russia) was signed for individual standards sales and translation services.
