Several advances were made in 2009 to enable SAE International to provide the widest distribution of SAE technical content, providing the most benefits for members and customers. Despite the economic climate in 2009, e-Pubs experienced success and growth. Contributing factors to this market success was SAE’s rich portfolio of intellectual property; ground vehicle and aerospace markets, and the effective expansion of SAE’s reseller network. In April 2009, SAE International’s e-Pubs unit launched the SAE Journals to highlight SAE’s premiere technical paper collections. Publication of the journals was the successful culmination of Technology is the foundation of all advances in mobility efforts to bring better value to SAE’s paper authors and customers alike, introducing features and functionality requested by the marketplace. Driven by the goals of broadening its e-Media product offering and keeping SAE International at the forefront of market best practices, six new product offerings were successfully launched in 2009.
