CHANGE THROUGH
COMPASSION - YWCA
Change through Compassion will
support the work of the staff at
the YWCA by helping them to
integrate self-care through the
practices of mindfulness and self
-compassion. Within the YWCA, some of the teams are starting to realize
that their work will not be sustainable without a better balance of service
and self-care. The goal is to begin by providing a monthly program
involving some psychoeducation and hands-on practices of mindfulness
and self-compassion. Currently, there are two teams that will be involved
- the Center for Racial and Gender Equity and the YWonderful Kids
team that provides childcare. 12 - 1 hour sessions can be
provided for $1,500.

CAREER COACHING
FOR WOMEN
Samaritan Business Consulting
provides career coaching
services to ease the process of
finding a new job after a job loss or to help individuals navigate a
desired career change. These services are provided through one-on-one
coaching sessions that can include resume development, training to
improve interview skills, assessment to discover your natural skills,
guidance in the job search, and more.
Funds from the Silent Samaritan Endowment would subsidize career
coaching costs for women who are facing a job loss, looking for a new
career or a promotion in order to better support themselves, or exploring
what positions best fit their skills and personality. For $4,000, ten (10)
women would be fully supported with resume and LinkedIn
development, as well as basic career coaching.
