SEICO 11: First Announcement

SEICO 11 - SAMPE Europe International Conference & Forum is certainly one of the leading events in Europe on the technical and scientific calendar, associated with advanced materials and process technology. Whilst thermoset & thermoplast composites play an important role, SEICO 11 will focus also on a wide field of other materials, technologies and applications. Advanced composite systems and its characteristics are known to be suitable and adaptable to cover new application needs based on new material characteristics. SEICO 11 will provide reference in a wide range of papers on the latest research, development, testing and processing of advanced composite technology and material science. The papers to be presented will make reference to the latest applications from aircraft & space, nano-technology, NDT & repair, composite tooling, mass transport systems, naval structures and applications, civil engineering and infrastructure maintenance. SEICO 11 to be held in Cooperation with JEC Paris Composite Show 2011 As in previous years, SEICO 11 Conference & Forum will be held at the Hotel Mercure, Paris Porte de Versailles Expo, Vanves – whilst JEC Composite Show 11 is going to happen at the Paris Expo Complex Porte de Versailles, which is located 10 minutes walking distance and will be linked by a free shuttle bus, operating on 29th - 30th March from 08.00h to 18.00h by the sequenced overlap. All SEICO 11 attendees will get the opportunity proposed to attend the two events, by enjoying free access to the JEC Composite Show 11 based upon the SEICO 11 registration badge. The JEC Composite Show 11 will attract some 25,000 visitors as well as over 1000 exhibitors. The stand area will be approx. 45,000 m2. The registration contains coffee breaks and lunch on each day and the attendance to the SEICO 11 dinner, for those with multi-day registrations or those to be registered specifically for 28th March 2011. It is anticipated that approx 90 papers will be presented in three parallel sessions to be grouped into specialist topic sessions. In addition it is planned to present a panel session on a special theme to be defined in the preliminary programme. Complementary a presentation of a selected European Research Project involving industries, research centres and Universities will be envisaged. On the opening of SEICO 11, a keynote presentation by a leading specialist will be given.
