Interstate 90 runs east-west across the state and Interstate 29 runs north-south. You’ll also discover some of South Dakota’s best scenery when you leave the interstates and venture into our backcountry.

Skyways
South Dakota has two major airports: Rapid City Regional and Sioux Falls Regional. Other cities with air service include Aberdeen, Huron, Pierre and Watertown. Rapid City Regional Airport is closest to the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Car rentals are available at most airports.
