Senior Associate Director of Residence Life, Emory University
I am excited to be considered as a candidate for the secretary position in
SEAHO. I am currently the Sr. Associate Director of Residence Life at Emory
University. I have previously worked in residence life positions at Appalachian
State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I consider
SEAHO my professional home and I continue to thrive among the people and
opportunities of the organization. I have worked in the SEAHO region for over
20 year and I have been actively involved in SEAHO during that time. During
my time in the organization, I have seen a variety of changes as a member of
committees, the Executive Council, Governing Council and host committee.
The one thing that hasn't changed is the commitment of the people who serve
as members of this organization. For me SEAHO is home. The people in the
organization and the yearly conference remind me of the support that exists
across the region. The opportunity to serve as secretary will allow me to give
back to the organization that has given me so much during my time in Housing. During my time in SEAHO I
have been involved in a variety of leadership opportunities including:

As secretary, I will work to fulfill the expectations of the position to 'serve as the official correspondent and
record keeper for the Association.' I will utilize the resources and relationships to support the membership by
creating clear and concise minutes from the meetings and working with the website team to distribute them
quickly through the website. Thank you for the opportunity to be involved with SEAHO over the past years and
I look forward to continue as SEAHO secretary.

Hello SEAHO family! It is with a joy filled, reflective, and grateful heart that
I accept the SEAHO Executive Board nomination to campaign as a SEAHO
Secretary candidate for the upcoming 2020 - 2022 term. Who knew that a summer
interview with Ms. Ruth Baker in 2005 at Virginia State University for a graduate
student assistantship with the Residence Life and Housing Office would not only
lead to the priming and positioning of a professional career but also to having
a designed purpose in our field of service? I am truly humbled and honored to
potentially serve in this leadership opportunity for our regional governing body.
SEAHO has truly served as a heart and home for my professional career. I recall
critical points of professional inflection in my career; in which through "SEAHO
shaping" of consistent investments of mentorship, career advancement, and
