leadership strategy that of the position's predecessor; one that is hinged on accuracy, dependability, inclusivity,
and transparency in (a) responsible note keeping, (b) contribution to inclusive decision-making and membership
advocacy, and (c) partnering with SEAHO colleagues such as the SEAHO Webmasters for up-to-date data
sharing and timely posting of associated business matters. Thank you for your attention and your consideration
as I hope my next position of service in staying committed and staying connected is as our SEAHO Secretary!

In a region of the galaxy,
Not so far away,
Not so long ago...
Appeared a young graduate student
Who admired the wise leadership of professionals in NC and within SEAHO.
This young graduate student chose the path of the Housing Professional
influenced by the SEAHO side. Guided by this experience the professional now
hopes to continue to light the path, not of revolution, but continued evolution of
SEAHO to serve our students, region, people and the profession.
Having a light saber would make it a lot cooler though...
I take this nomination very seriously and I am honored to be nominated. If elected I will work very hard to
ensure SEAHO continues to be an influential and impactful organization for all our current and future members.
I hope the new Star Wars movie was good. In representing my authentic self, if you know me, then the above or
something like this should not be a surprise.
Again, I am proud to be nominated for this role and truly hope to serve in this capacity. My involvement in
SEAHO, NCHO, GHO, TACUHO, GLACUHO (yeah I was out Midwest for some time) and ACUHO-I has all
helped shape me as a professional. The importance of our professional organizations is paramount in influencing
the direction of the profession and in assisting in the development of professionals. Serving as part of host
committees for TACUHO, NCHO, SEAHO as well as being Pres Elect for TACUHO and NCHO have been
great experiences. The torch needs to continue to be carried and new professionals brought into leadership roles
as well as developed by the education and experience, not only through SEAHO, but on the state level as well.
In serving as a State Representative for NC, in being part of host committees as a graduate student at UNCC and
as a professional in NC and TN I can attest about the learning experience that goes on through attendance and
through those relationships with colleagues, vendors and visitors to our conferences that impact you for a
lifetime. SEAHO has always been my home and I want to continue to foster that feeling for all of our members.
It would be my hope to encourage more involvement among institutions within each state and among the state
representatives within SEAHO as well. The role of a state rep is to gather information and report but it is also to
gather and report the consensus of concerns, trends, accomplishments, and best practices in the state so that
those can be highlighted to the board. At the same time those reports can also help others overcome their
challenges professionally and personally in juggling the difficulty of our work. SEAHO resources can be
focused on issues to better understand and assist those state representatives, those institutions, and if need be
