AFFILIATE >> REPORTS Kentucky Assumes Joint Affiliate Status Beth Cundiff, MS, CSCS, CCRP, KCRA President The Kentucky Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Association (KCRA) is pleased and excited to announce that Kentucky will become the 6th state to sign on as a Joint Affiliate of the AACVPR. Beginning July 2015, Kentucky will join Michigan, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, and Oregon in a partnership intended to bring additional benefits from the national association to its local constituents for a discounted membership fee. This single fee will now include membership to both AACVPR and KCRA. Members of KCRA and AACVPR from the state of Kentucky will receive additional correspondence outlining the changes they can expect. This partnership is intended to significantly increase access to education offerings and other AACVPR resources for individual Kentucky Affiliate members. Similarly, it will allow KCRA volunteer leaders access to additional resources meant to assist in maintaining the Affiliate organization while maintaining its autonomy as an association. We are pleased to be able to increase the educational and networking opportunities through this new affiliation and look forward to our fellow Kentuckians taking advantage of free webcasts, reduced annual meeting fees, additional networking opportunities, and much more! If you are from the state of Kentucky and are interested in joining KCRA/ AACVPR, please reach out to AACVPR Headquarters at aacvpr@ aacvpr.org. Similarly, if you are already a member of KCRA and/ or AACVPR, and have questions about how this affiliation agreement is going to impact you as a member, please contact Andrew Miller with AACVPR Headquarters at amiller@aacvpr.org. KCRA would like to congratulate two local individuals who passed the Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) exam delivered at AACVPR's 29th Annual Meeting last fall in Denver: Beth Cundiff, MS, CSCS, CCRP, and Audra Byers, RN, BSN, CCRN, CCRP. Congratulations Beth and Audra!
