Lakshmi, Integrative Neuroscience major
Class of 2018

Lakshmi served on a research team and
uncovered evidence that the current treatment
for Parkinson's disease may not be as effective
as it could be. She's had a life-long interest in
neuroscience and her research may someday
lead to the development of a treatment that
covers both motor and cognitive deficits in
humans.
SUNY students and faculty are collaborating
and making some of the most impactful
discoveries of our time. From new treatments
of disease to technological advances that
ensure a sustainable future for our environment, SUNY is at the forefront of innovation
and research.

Study Abroad
Megan recently completed an internship
at CoisCeim Dance Theatre, a top modern
dance company in Ireland. "Dublin was
incredible, it gave me access to a
multitude of options within my career."
SUNY offers more than 1,000 study
abroad opportunities in more than
60 countries-in North and South
America, Africa, Asia, Western and
Eastern Europe, Australia, and New
Zealand. Programs include international
internships, service learning, and
dual diploma options and range from
a two-week intensive course to an entire
semester or year abroad.
