{ FOR THE Love O F N AT I O N A L PA R K S } FOLLOWING ANSEL ADAMS PHOTOGRAPHER FRANK RUGGLES HELPS FILL EVERGLADES RECREATION CENTER WITH PHOTOS OF NATIONAL PARKS STORY BY MARK ANDERSON | PHOTOS BY ROB WILKERSON Majestic mountain ranges, winding canyons, sweeping forests and sun-glistened lakes - these are just some of the things photographer Frank Lee Ruggles captures at national parks around the United States. Seventy of those photos are hanging on display at the new Everglades Recreation Center, located south of the Florida Turnpike in the Village of Marsh Bend. Commissioned by The Villages, Ruggles included photos of national parks and natural wonders around the country, including a few from The Everglades, an area he had yet to visit during his travels to 330 of the 419 national parks in the U.S. Ruggles holding a copy of "Chasing Light," his book of national park photos, which he sold and signed at the opening of Everglades Recreation Center. 24 JANUARY 2020
