In a time where we can
search the internet on our refrigerator, many of us remember what it was like before technology was everywhere.
Technology progresses at what often seems like a staggering rate, and just when we think we have a solid grasp
on something, the next new thing is out and suddenly
our current thing is obsolete.
When tech progresses at such a fast rate, it's fun to
remember how these things started and just how different things are now than they were even just 10 short
years ago. Let's take a look.

ere we are in the second decade of the 21st
century and it is hard to imagine a world
without computers and the internet.
But if you stop to think about it, both have not been
around all that long. Personal computers only started
showing up around the late 70s, and home internet
access came about 10 to 15 years after that. That
means computers have really only been part of our
everyday lives for about 40 years or so, at most.
Now, a computer is within arm's reach throughout
the day via our cellphones, laptops, tablets, or other
devices. While we may not quite be at the level the Jetsons
were, we are getting awfully close to a time where we can
wake up and stand on the conveyor belt while the robots
