For Spicing Up a Date Night at Home
The way to a man's heart is through his stomach - or so the phrase goes.
But research shows many women also think food could be a prelude to romance. In a study
by OnePoll, two out of three Americans polled said they'd be more inclined to date a person
who could cook. As Valentine's Day approaches, consider how you might spice things up,
spark a flame and enjoy a date night at home. Here are a few great recipes worth trying.

1 1/3 cups of all-purpose
flour; 1/2 teaspoon of
baking soda;
2 teaspoons of baking
powder; 3/4 cup of
unsweetened cocoa
powder; 1/8 teaspoon
of salt; 3 tablespoons of
butter, softened;
1 1/2 cups of white
sugar; 2 eggs; 3/4
teaspoon of vanilla
extract; 1 cup of milk

1. Preheat oven to 350
degrees. Line a muffin
pan with paper or foil
liners. Sift together the
flour, baking powder,
baking soda, cocoa
and salt. Set aside. 2.
In a large bowl, cream
together the butter and
sugar until light and
fluffy. Add the eggs one
at a time, beating well
with each addition, then
stir in the vanilla. Add the
flour mixture alternately
with the milk; beat well.
Fill the muffin cups 3/4
full. 3. Bake for 15 to 17
minutes in the preheated
oven, or until a toothpick
inserted into the cake
comes out clean. Frost
with your favorite
frosting when cool.
