If heaven existed on Earth, they found it on Villages'
golf courses. Seward and Ann McGee are golfers through
and through. They love everything about the game: the
excitement, the warmth of the sun on their shoulders as
they take their swings, the incredible ambiance - emerald
acres merging with cyan skies.
" It's amazing, " Ann said. " Beautiful courses, championship
and executive. They were designed well, and they're a
lot of fun - some very challenging and some that are great
for beginner golfers. "
The Richmond, Virginia residents didn't initially plan to
move to The Villages.
" I think we both thought that when we retired, we would
rather be in Arizona or Utah because we like to hike, "
Seward said. " But, when we came here and experienced
everything The Villages has to offer, there was just no
question - with all the activities, all the clubs and all the
golf. So, this was a no-brainer; this was where we were
going to be. "
If retirement yields rewards, Ann and Seward find them
daily, and at every turn.
" We love living here,' Ann said. " I can't imagine living
anywhere else. I truly can't. I miss my family back home,
obviously, but I do not miss living there. I mean, this is home.
It's like living on vacation, 365 days a year. It's more than
we ever thought that we would be able to do when we retired
