MAY 2008 2 Watch Stars Under the Stars Twice a year the Recreation Department presents the Golf Cart Drive-In Movies at The Villages Polo Club. Friends, food and a bit of nostalgia are the main focus of this fun evening out — only to be experienced in The Villages. Features 18 Villagers Become Dragons Forty-four Villagers have come together to form two dragon boat crews representing The Villages. Synchronized speed paddling, performing as a unified team and having fun are the goals of this energetic group. 28 Eyes on the Prize More than 2,000 local residents are competing in the 2008 Villages Florida Senior Games. Villages recreation facilities have become the battlegrounds of the top senior athletes hoping to win medals and advance to state and national competitions.
