t’s a summer day. You might be coming from the golf
course after playing 18 holes, or from the pickleball
courts. You could go home and take a shower, but
nothing sounds better on a summer day in Florida than
submerging yourself into a refreshing, cool pool.
The pools in The Villages are multipurpose facilities.
When family members and grandchildren come to visit
Florida, what is the one thing they are most excited for,
besides visiting Disney World? The pool!
The pool can be a place where you plop into a recliner
to soak up the sun’s rays. For others, the swimming pool is
where fun and exercise take place.
Water exercise is a great type of cardiovascular workout,
and if you incorporate water weights into your routine,
there are strength-building benefits.
People who have suffered joint or muscle pain often
find relief from the buoyancy of the water while they are
exercising.
Friends and new faces gather throughout the week at
the variety of water aerobics classes offered throughout
The Villages.
