"We liked the
Laurel Oak (home
style) when we first
started looking at
it," Mike said. "And
then this whole
Fenney experience
started evolving,
and I could see that
it was really going
to be nice down
here. When we
moved to Winifred,
ours was one of the
first homes in there.
We'd go away for a
couple weeks and
come back and have
to ride around and
see what was new.
We wanted that
experience again."

"That's what The Villages is all about," Mike said. "It's
(about) evolving and trying new experiences - whether
it's hobbies or moving or whatever. It keeps you
young, and this is, in my mind, part of the process. Try
something new, be a part of something - pioneers,
if you will."
"It's been fun though," Carol said. "Every night we take a
walk and see what's new - what they've done today. We
met a couple that's building a house about four houses
down and (workers) were pouring their concrete, so we
took pictures for them. It's really been fun."

"We had three requirements - I had two,
Carol had one," Mike
said. "First of all, we had
to be on a golf course
because I just like the
view. I needed a bigger
garage because I started doing woodworking projects and the
third: she wanted her
own gourmet kitchen.
(Our sales representative) Mark met all of
our objectives - very
well, in fact."
