COMMUNITY W TCH HOUSE CHECK PROGRAM KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON YOUR HOME WHILE YOU ARE AWAY STORY BY MARK ANDERSON When Villagers leave their homes for an extended period of time, they can do so with peace of mind thanks to the Community Watch House Check program. Available to any Villages resident for a nominal fee of $5.35 per week, the House Check program sends a Community Watch patrol driver to the house to check for any issues - from unlocked doors to broken windows to packages left on the doorstep and more. Community Watch Division Chief Nehemiah Wolfe further explains the program. " By signing up for this program, Community Watch 22 MAY 2021 will do an outer perimeter check of the resident's home if they are out of town, " he said. " We will do that three times a week. We'll go walk the perimeter and check the doors and windows, look at the vegetation and see if there are any issues that need to be addressed - anything that is out of place or awry. " When a resident signs up for the program, they list important details about their home - any cars that will be in the driveway, things they have left outside and so on. Wolfe says those details are in the paperwork the Community Watch patrol driver has on hand while making a perimeter check.
