Everybody always
asks me, 'What's
the best camera? I
always say, the best
camera is whatever
camera you have in
your hands when
you see something
you want to take a
picture of.' I've seen
great pictures come
out of phones and
point-and-shoots.
It doesn't make a
difference.

With the advent of smartphones, many people
are carrying around a camera that in many ways
is just as good as a standard DSLR camera, as far as
technical specifications go.
" Our club has people who have just joined
and all they have is a cellphone, " Kozak said.
" The cameras in cellphones these days are just
magnificent with what they can do. They're
just phenomenal cameras that they put in these
phones. "
Regardless of skill level, Kozak says the club has
something for everyone.
" We've got all kinds of people, from beginner
photographers who are just interested in doing
something with their spare time and thought
photography would be a cool thing, to folks that
literally do it professionally and everywhere in
between, " Kozak said. " So, we're primarily a
teaching club and a sharing club. "
At meetings, the club occasionally hosts
accomplished
photographers
from
around
the world, who speak to the club about their
experiences taking photos both at home and
abroad. Speaking sessions have been host to
professional portrait photographers, sports
photographers and even someone who uses only
an iPhone to take photos and is world-renowned for
his work.
