of July Celebrations

It's time to celebrate the 241st birthday of this great country
with The Villages Fourth of July celebrations. Enjoy this very
special patriotic holiday with all of your friends, neighbors
and grandkids, complete with great bands at all three main
stages, including Blue Stone Circle in the gazebo at Spanish
Springs, Johnny Wild & the Delights in the pavilion at Lake
Sumter Landing and Scooter the DJ at Brownwood. Don't
miss the extremely talented Villages Festival Performance
Groups performing throughout the squares, including The
Villages Cheerleaders, The Villages Twirlers and Drum Corps,
Aloha 'O Ka Hula Dance Troupe and the Prime Time Twirlers.
Get to know the patriotic stilt walkers, take a family photo
with lots of festive decorations, enjoy the vendors at Market
Night at Lake Sumter Landing, and eat some down-home
cookin' from La Hacienda Catering at Spanish Springs and
Lake Sumter Landing.

20th Anniversary Cruise In
4-9 p.m. June 17, Spanish Springs Town Square
Celebrate the milestone 20th anniversary of the
monthly Classic Car Cruise In while checking out the
beautiful classic cars and enjoying fantastic entertainment
by Cactus Jack & the Cadillacs. In celebration of 20 fabulous
years running, there will be themed performances by The
Villages Twirlers Show Team and Drum Corps, beginning
at 6 p.m., and The Villages Cheerleaders at 7 p.m. On-site
registration for cars years 1980 and older takes place from
3 to 6 p.m. at the head of Main Street. Vote for your two
favorite cars at the registration tent. The top eight will receive
a commemorative 20th Anniversary Cruise In Trophy, and
there will be special surprises for all the registered cars and
spectators. Don't miss being a part of such an important
milestone in one of The Villages longest-running events.
