Have a bunch of old photo albums
lying around the house that you
don't know what to do with? Use Google PhotoScan
to digitize the photos and keep them on your phone
or tablet! The app uses your device's camera to take
a series of pictures of the old photo and then stitches
them together into a single image to remove glare and any
perspective errors. Though an actual image scanner usually
will produce better results - especially for photos you want
to make larger or print out - Google PhotoScan is perfect for
when you have an old photo you want to share on social media
or with a friend or family member via email.

LASTPASS

We all know how frustrating it is to try and
remember passwords we use online, especially
when different sites require differing lengths, characters or
numbers when logging in. LastPass maintains all of those
passwords for you, meaning you only need to remember
the one password to get into LastPass. (Just make sure you
remember that one!) Use the app to generate, manage and
contain all of your passwords from around the internet.

MICROSOFT OFFICE LENS

It often can be annoying when we have a
physical document, receipt or other important
non-digital media that we want to make digital. Use Microsoft
Office Lens to convert your documents or whiteboard notes
into a digital file so you always have it handy. The app also can
transcribe business cards and automatically add them to your
address book as well, making this a great app for anyone with
a business.

If there is something you need
to know about life in The Villages, The Villages App probably has it! Find
directions to a recreation center or country
club, view homes for sale, check the calendar for a list of upcoming events or listen to
live WVLG radio, all through the app. Stay up
to date on everything that's new or coming
soon in Florida's Friendliest Hometown.

DUOLINGO

AVAILABLE ON: Android, iOS
Learn how to read, write and speak a new
language with Duolingo. Languages are
broken down into fun, easy-to-comprehend lessons and
games, making learning more engaging and less of a chore.
Languages on the app include common languages such as
French, Spanish and German, but there also are several lesscommon languages including Navajo, Turkish, Swahili and
even Klingon. Duolingo is a free download, but there also are
in-app purchases as well as a premium subscription service.
