Q | Tell us about the facility in which you work,
and the activities and amenities available.
A | At SeaBreeze Regional Recreation Complex, we offer
many different indoor activities, such as exercise classes,
social gatherings, special interest groups, etc. We also
have a craft room within our center. Some of our many
outdoor activities include a sports pool for aerobics
classes and swimming/exercising, pickleball courts, tennis
courts, platform tennis courts, bocce, shuffleboard and a
sand court for beach tennis and sand volleyball.
Q | How does this recreation center differ from
others around The Villages? How is it similar?
A | Our beach theme décor is one of a kind. We offer a
beach tennis/sand volleyball court which is only offered
at three locations throughout The Villages. We also offer
many of the same sports as other centers offer (pickleball,
tennis, bocce, shuffleboard).
Q | If given the time, are there any hobbies,
sports or recreational activities you'd like to do
or try for the first time?
A | I still haven't tried to play Beach Tennis. I might have
to give that a try some day.
Q | How does the staff work together to keep the
culture upbeat and the facility functioning as a
hub for community activities?
A | The staff always pulls together to help each other
out. They really create a team environment so we are
able to effectively meet the needs of the residents within
the community.
Q | Are there any new things in store for you,
the staff or the residents in terms of new amenities
or improvements, whether big or small?
A | We have brand new lobby furniture and we will also
be adding outdoor exercise equipment at the SeaBreeze
location at some point soon.
